На чужбине он не отказался от идеи борьбы с большевизмом любыми средствами, и в начале 1930-х гг. стал штатным сотрудником германской военной разведки - абвера. Эта книга - рассказ о деятельности Смысловского через призму его биографии. Основной объем исследования заняли главы, посвященные Второй мировой войне.
